The recruitment for Junior Research Fellows by NCHGSR, leading to a Ph.D. degree is subjected to the fulfillment of the criteria as given below-

Candidate should have qualified in the CSIR-UGC-NET examination for JRF and fellowship certificate should be valid at the time of joining or the candidate should have cleared the entrance test for Ph.D. program conducted by the university itself.

How to apply
Admission is through OCET conducted by Panjab University in the month of June 

Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree (pass or honors) under 10+2+3 pattern examination of the Panjab University or any other examination recognized by the Panjab university as equivalent thereto in physical, chemical, biological, pharmaceutical sciences or medicine with at least 55% marks 

Scheme of test
The entrance test will be of 100 marks. It is of one hour duration consisting of 100 multiple choice questions (with only one correct answer of one mark) each from six disciplines representing physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, pharmaceutical sciences and medicine. 

Merit list
The university will publish merit list for the candidates for the above course on the basis of attainment of a minimum of 20% marks (15% in case of candidates belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe) of aggregate of maximum marks in the entrance test

The admission shall be made on the basis of the entrance test (weightage 50%) and the academic career (weightage 50%at the qualifying examination)  

During admission candidates are required to produce original and photocopies of following documents:

Detailed mark sheet of class 10

Detailed mark sheet of class 12

Detailed mark sheet of all the three years of graduation

Migration certificate

OCET Examination : May (Last week) or June (1st week)

OCET Results : June (1st or 2nd week)

Aplication submittion in department : June (Following OCET result declaration)
